Cadbury White Creme Egg 2019 Case Study

Background

Cadbury ran their infamous White Creme Egg campaign for the second year running, only bigger and better. Participating retailers included Asda, Waitrose, M&S, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco, plus hundreds independent stores. The promotion was open to UK and ROI residents aged 16+ who simply had to purchase a Creme Egg in order to enter. There were just under 1,000 White Creme Egg’s hidden, and the lucky entrants who found a hidden white chocolate egg with a winning coupon, could then call PromoVeritas’ freephone number to discover what they had won. Over 700 cash prizes were claimed  ranging from £10 to £10,000 and countless happy winners!

What we did

PromoVeritas fairly and randomly distributed the lucky winning eggs amongst stocks of regular Cadbury Creme Eggs across the UK and Ireland. Our operations team received hundreds of calls from excited winners ready to tell us that they had won and unsure whether they could finally eat their egg! We confirmed the winners’ details and verified their winning egg before fulfilling each cash prize.
